On Sunday evening (time not yet fixed) the two Welshmen and good friends Gerwyn Price and Johnny Clayton will play each other in the last 16 of the World Darts Championship. I have set my sights on the 180s thrown for this bet. Johnny Clayton is a decent scorer, but he is best known for his many 140s, while Price throws the maximum much more often according to the statistics. In his last match against Joe Cullen, the Iceman threw 13 180s in 37 legs. That's about 0.3 180s per leg. Johnny Clayton only managed a rate of 0.25 180s per leg on the Pro Tour last year. This can also be seen in his last two matches at the World Darts Championship. Against Gurney, Clayton only threw 4 180s in 27 legs. In the match before that against Mansell Clayton threw 6 180s in 27 legs. So we can see here that Clayton could not beat his rate of 0.25 180s per leg. As it is a longer distance between the two Welshmen, I think that Price will definitely throw more 180s over the distance. Brtano's current odds of 1.65 are definitely too high and will drop even further before the start of the match. An odds of 1.3-1.4 on Price's 180s would be justified. So there is definitely value to be found here.
