Sparta Prague are in 3rd place in the table and have currently won 4 games in a row. One of these was an 8-1 win against league leaders HC Pardubice.

Their opponents Mladá Boleslav are just behind Prague in 4th place in the table, but they have lost their last two games in the league and that at home. And that even against 9th-placed HC Vitkovice and 11th-placed HC Ceske Budejovice.
