EC 2024: Netherlands vs Turkey

The Netherlands will face Turkey in the quarter-finals of the European Championship on Saturday.

The Netherlands is the favorite on paper. The Netherlands did quite well in the group stage. 2 to 1 against Poland, 0 to 0 against the French, but the Dutch also have one defeat to their name, as they were beaten 2 to 3 by the Austrians. However, they followed this up with a confident performance in the round of 16, beating Romania 3-0 with no chance.

Now they face Turkey. And the Turks have proven that they can play football, as they sent the Dutch conquerors Austria home in the round of 16. The Turks put up a strong fight in the group stage. They won 3 to 1 against Georgia and 2 to 1 against the Czechs. But there was a setback against the strong Portuguese, who lost 3-0.

Only now in the quarter-finals will the Turks be full of euphoria. I think they will score at least one goal.
The Netherlands have already conceded goals against Poland and Austria.
