Will Portugal repeat their success from 2016? For many, the Portuguese are among the potential surprise candidates for Euro 2024 and for me, the Iberians are also one of the favorites. Cristiano Ronaldo simply doesn't get old and recently scored two strong goals in the last preparation match against Ireland. In the European Championship qualifiers, they have 10 wins in 10 games! Admittedly, the group was relatively easy, but you still have to get full points first. A look at the offense simply creates euphoria. Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Joao Félix, Rafael Leao and of course CR7 all play for the best teams in Europe apart from the latter. In central defense, Rúben Dias is one of the best central defenders in Europe and you can't go wrong with Pepe anyway. But I don't just want to rave about Portugal here, I also want to talk about the opponents. The Czech Republic have a solid squad, but nothing more. The majority of the players play in the domestic league, which naturally lags behind in comparison. The hope lies in the two West Ham players Coufal and Soucek, who are also past their prime. For me, this will be a clear-cut affair and I expect a clear victory for the Portuguese. They are better from positions 1-11.
