La Liga: Barcelona vs. Valencia
A 3-2 defeat in El Clasico last weekend all but ended Barcelona's hopes of winning the La Liga title, with the Catalans 11 points behind Real Madrid with six games of the season remaining. The only positive to come out of a week in which they were also eliminated from the UEFA Champions League was that coach Xavi Hernández announced a U-turn and decided to stay on beyond the end of this season.
His main focus until the end of the season will be to secure second place for Barça, with next week's clash with Girona playing a major role in that regard. They can't look too far ahead, but Barcelona will certainly be confident ahead of their visit to Valencia, a side they are unbeaten against on their own turf in league H2Hs (S5, U2) since April 2016.
However, Valencia still have a good chance of reaching the international stage and will do everything they can to take at least a point today, so I expect both teams to score at least one goal.
