Back on New Year's Eve 2022/2023, we at GambleJoe asked ourselves whether the turn of the year could be spent in a casino. This year, we once again went in search of the best New Year's Eve events in the major German casinos. While some smaller casinos close in the early evening hours of December 31, 2024, the large casinos in particular organize great gala evenings. Here, guests can spend the turn of the year 2024/2025 with a glass of sparkling wine or champagne in hand without a care in the world.

New Year's Eve Casino 2024: Which casinos have special events?

In fact, not all German casinos have a special event at the turn of the year. In some cases, smaller casinos in particular, such as Casino Kiel or Casino Lübeck, close at 8 pm on New Year's Eve 2024. However, there are also some casinos that will once again stand out from the crowd this year and organize attractive New Year's Eve events on 31 December 2024. These include, in particular, the Hohensyburg, Hamburg Esplanade and Baden-Baden casinos, whose New Year's Eve events are described in more detail below.

New Year's Eve at the Hohensyburg casino: New Year's Eve package for 15 euros per guest

The Hohensyburg casino in Dortmund is the largest casino in Germany. So it's no wonder that a glamorous New Year's Eve awaits guests here once again this year. Anyone visiting the Hohensyburg casino on New Year's Eve can look forward to a magnificent firework display, midnight champagne and a hopefully packed dance floor in the FOX dance club.

There will also be a free bus shuttle from and to Schwerte on New Year's Eve 2024 as well as a photo station and a pianist in the gaming hall. Admission on New Year's Eve costs 15 euros from 6 pm and there is only one box office. New Year's Eve Casino Hamburg: turn of the year 2024/2025 in a glamorous atmosphere

New Year's Eve can also be celebrated in the casino in the Hanseatic city. However, there is only one New Year's Eve event at one of Spielbank Hamburg's four locations - namely the Esplanade location. Here, there is an exclusive New Year's Eve party where you can celebrate in style and experience the excitement of the games on offer at the same time. However, New Year's Eve at Spielbank Hamburg costs guests around 50 euros to enter. In addition, a timeslot must be booked in advance and there is no box office.

The classic game at Spielbank Hamburg only opens at 7 pm on New Year's Eve. From this time, bags of sweets will also be given away at the candy bar. The "real" party, which takes place in the REDBLACK Lounge, then starts at 9 pm.

And from 11:30 pm, the champagne bar in the Casino Esplanade will open to spend the last few minutes of the year in an appropriate atmosphere. New Year's Eve Casino Baden Baden: New Year's Eve 2024 with a festive wardrobe

If you want to visit a casino on New Year's Eve and want to dress festively for the occasion, you're in good hands at Spielbank Baden-Baden. For the New Year's Eve event on December 31, 2024, it is explicitly stated that festive attire is mandatory for women. Gentlemen need a suit or tuxedo. The motto of the evening is "Be elegant, be glamorous".

Admission to the event is 60 euros and the event starts at 7 pm. Included are a glass of sparkling wine at midnight and a lucky chip worth 10 euros. A varied entertainment program with live music by the band "The Wright Thing" will be offered on New Year's Eve in the Baden-Baden casino from 9:30 pm. Will casinos be open on New Year's Eve 2024?

Many German casinos will be open on New Year's Eve 2024. Basically, the same opening and closing times apply as on other days of the year. However, it is not uncommon for operators to decide to close their arcades at the turn of the year. You should therefore check with the respective arcade in advance to find out how long gaming operations will remain open on December 31, 2024.
