Within just a few days, players in Las Vegas managed to hit two jackpots worth millions. Firstly, a player at the Venetian Resort won the Pai Gow jackpot totalling over 2.2 million US dollars. A few days later, another player at the nearby Palms Casino erupted into cries of joy when she won more than USD 2.1 million on a slot machine.

With over 40 million visitors a year, Las Vegas is one of the most visited cities in the USA. A significant proportion of visitors try their luck at least once in one of the numerous casinos in the gambling metropolis. This is where they dream of winning the big jackpot. At the end of July, two players managed to win a jackpot worth millions within just a few days. We also reported in mid-July that a new customer at the Atlantic City Casino had hit a 1.5 million jackpot.

Venetian Resort: Player wins 2.2 million US dollars at Pai Gow Poker

Firstly, an unnamed player won the jackpot of around 2.2 million US dollars at Pai Gow Poker at the Venetian Resort on Sunday 21 July. According to media reports, the guest was playing the Face Up Pai Gow game variant. Here he received a straight flush consisting of seven cards, as a result of which he hit the Pai Gow jackpot. The casino then announced that the player, who won exactly 2,211,469 US dollars, had won the highest Pai Gow jackpot in the history of the casino.

Palms Casino: Player wins 2.1 million US dollars on a slot machine

Just five days after the impressive Pai Gow jackpot, a player won another jackpot of a similar amount at the Palms Casino just two miles away. Specifically, the player tried her luck on the legendary Wheel of Fortune slot machine and ultimately won the jackpot of 2,170,581.77 US dollars with a stake of just 3 US dollars. What is particularly impressive about the case of the winner from the Palms Casino is the fact that she hit the jackpot when she still had a remaining balance of 46 cents.

The winner, who is also not known by name, is said to be from Texas and works here as a bartender. It remains to be seen whether she will go to work in the future in view of the million-dollar prize. The example of a 72-year-old pensioner who won over 2.5 million US dollars in a US casino and was then annoyed that the casino refused to pay out her winnings shows that problems can also arise after winning a jackpot in a casino.
