A new customer at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has won a million-dollar jackpot on his first visit. The casino resort announced this in a post on X a few weeks ago. But on which slot machine and at what stake did the player's luck strike?

As Casino Resort reported on X, the anonymous player won the life-changing jackpot of exactly 1,593,457 US dollars in one go on the Wheel of Fortune slot with a stake of 100 US dollars per spin.

The player is said to have come to the casino with 1,000 US dollars and wanted to try a total of ten spins on the Wheel of Fortune slot with a stake of 100 US dollars each. After the first eight spins went without a win, he finally hit the million-dollar jackpot with the ninth spin.

In total, there are around 2,400 slot machines at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, 72 of which are connected to the Wheel of Fortune jackpot.

What is interesting about the Wheel of Fortune jackpot is the fact that, according to developer IGT, it is paid out in annual instalments. The player will receive an annual payout of around 75,000 US dollars over the next 20 years. Unfortunately, there is no one-off payment option for this jackpot.

Nevertheless, this slot machine has been one of the most successful gaming machines in the USA since its market launch in 1996.
