"Jackpot": Merkur surprisingly successful with new Carrington song

A few days ago, Merkur Spielbanken released a song in collaboration with presenter and musician Cassy Carrington that is currently conquering the German charts. With her work "Jackpot", Carrington is obviously going down well not only with gambling fans, but also with many other listeners. At Merkur, they can hardly explain the success of the song and are "gobsmacked".

The game show "Bingo with Cassy" has been extremely successful at Merkur Spielbanken for some time now. Those responsible have therefore decided to dedicate a song to the format with the popular bingo presenter and singer Cassy Carrington. Shortly before the release of the "Jackpot" song on January 31, 2025, the title had already been heard on many radio broadcasts. But have Merkur Spielbanken and Cassy Carrington really produced a chart hit with the new song, or will the hype soon be over?

"Jackpot" is not Cassy Carrington's first hit

Cassy Carrington has been hosting the popular "Bingo with Cassy" event at Merkur casinos for some time now. A year ago, the bingo presenter and singer released her first gambling-related song, "Mein Herz schreit Bingo". To date, the song has almost 55,000 views on YouTube.

Carrington has now released her next song, "Jackpot", which has been surprisingly well received by radio stations and music channels in particular in recent days. Despite the gambling theme, over 20 radio stations have already included the song in their repertoire. Even Deluxe Music is already broadcasting the accompanying music video at regular intervals. The song was originally only produced by Merkur Spielbanken for the bingo game show. The singer and presenter has signed a corresponding record deal with Kontor Records.

In the meantime, the "Jackpot" song has positioned itself in the top 150 of the DJ hit parade and has already generated thousands of hits. Even Merkur itself is surprised by the success of the newly released song. For example, Merkur's Head of Corporate Communications, Marco Lippert, commented on the chart success as follows:

"We are a little gobsmacked (...) The response has taken us completely by surprise. Our show artists regularly inspire our audience, but we would never have thought that one of our songs would achieve such popularity.

What is "Jackpot" by Cassy Carrington about?

While the composition and production were handled by Sebastian Treu, the lyrics were written by Carrington herself. The song is a story about the fate of love and the subject of gambling. Carrington's brand new song will be presented live for the first time on February 8, 2025 at Spielbank Hohensyburg (Dortmund). The other dates for "Bingo with Cassy" can be found online here. So far, the song only has around 1,000 views on YouTube, but this is likely to change significantly in the coming days and weeks.
