Lottery player wins almost €5 million - and stays relaxed

A few days ago, a pensioner from Bavaria received news that would change his life. In one fell swoop, the elderly gentleman suddenly won almost five million euros in the lottery. But instead of breaking out in euphoria and ringing the lottery centre, the future millionaire kept his cool and waited for the lottery centre to get in touch.

It was only a few weeks ago that we at GambleJoe reported on the impressive €98 million lottery win by a man from Duisburg. A man from Swabia has now managed to win almost five million euros in the lottery. The special thing about it: After the lottery player checked his winning numbers and realised that he had hit the big jackpot, he kept his cool and waited until the lottery office contacted him.

July 2024: Swabian wins 4,777,777 euros in the lottery

As reported by the state lottery administration in Munich, the winner had an online lottery subscription and therefore did not have to take care of anything himself. It remains unclear which provider the Swabian played online with. It was only in April of this year that we at GambleJoe reported that Lottoland had received a lottery licence from the GGL.

According to the lottery administration, the man from Swabia was initially contacted by email and informed about the million-dollar prize. However, the winner then only compared his ticket numbers in the supplementary lottery 77 with the current numbers and did not get in touch again. It was only after the lottery administration from Munich followed up with the pensioner a second time that the pensioner realised that he was actually a multi-millionaire. Until then, he had said to himself "They'll be in touch".

The Lotto Centre went on to say that the new millionaire would use his winnings of €4,777,777 to treat himself to "one or two purchases" and invest the remaining amount for the long term.
