Lotto jackpot cracked through an actual mistake
Lotto is the most popular form of games of chance in the world. Many people around the world do their marks regularly and thus it is no wonder that in lotto there are very curious occurrences. In a recent case a US American cleared the large jackpot because he made a critical mistake which he really regretted.
Even the mainstream media regularly report about lotto players who week after week their whole life submit lottery tickets and then suddenly, they manage to win the main prize.
Especially popular are the coverages of individual lotto stories. We read about people who do not notice they have won mega prizes, or about others who have not fully paid their jackpot lotto tickets or other grim happenings which prevent them from getting large sums of money.
A similar story happened quite recently to a US American lotto player from the small city of Mooresville. However, his luck turned and at the end he was super happy that he had done everything right.
45,000 Euro more by mishap
David Lewandowski from the American Federal State North Carolina had made a mistake when playing lotto. This mishap cost him a lot of money. So far this is a typical lotto story with a sad ending, something which we read about very often.
However, the story does not finish here. Because at the end it was an advantage for David Lewandowski that not everything was not running smoothly. He could win (converted) over 45,000 Euro more than it would not have originally been possible.
What happened exactly?
Lewandowski is a regular lotto player. Like millions of other Americans every week he hopes that he wins a large prize. The stakes become a normal ritual for him and there were no changes. However, when he made an online payment, he made a mistake and missed a ticket. This ticket (how could it be otherwise) would have been a massive win.
David Lewandowski could have been (when converted) 160,000 Euro richer. As he reported to the British boulevard newspaper Daily Mirror, at first, he was shocked. For him it was evident that had the transaction gone through he would have yielded a first class win. He was deeply shocked but apparently not so deep.
Even higher win on the next day.
The next day Lewandowski tried it again. He did not play more than usual and followed his routine to the letter. Hardly believable: he had the right instinct again, that is guessed right.
The markings were made and the ticket was handed in correctly and paid for: luck was on Lewandowski’s side and he could claim a lotto win of 205.000 Euro. More money than he would have cashed had he won on the previous day.
The superhappy winner could not believe it. He handled this situation very prgamatically just as he had handled the previous loss. According to the Daily Mirror he decided that the money should not stagnate in his account. Instead he invested in property.
Conclusion
In this occasion the saying “blessing in disguise“ takes on a new meaning. David Lewandowski did not throw in the towel and he faced his mishap: get up, continue, remain sensible and take the money – this is the motto of this unusual case.
Lewandowski’s mistake and the advantage he got out of it are without doubt very curious. However I find it even more astonishing that the American could hit the bull’s eye twice within such a short time. Unfortunately, we do not know whether gehe made use of a particular strategy or used a particular system.
