A few days ago, two armed robbers held up an amusement arcade in North Rhine-Westphalia. A pistol was also used during the robbery. The police are now searching for the fugitives. But how much loot did the robbers make and what punishment can they expect if they are caught?

We at GambleJoe have already reported several times on attempted and completed robberies of amusement arcades. In one particularly brutal robbery in Bremen in the summer of 2022, an arcade employee was even shot. Now, on the night of 15 September, a robbery took place at an amusement arcade in Ahlen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Two masked offenders entered the arcade on Rottmannstraße and demanded money at gunpoint.

Perpetrators flee with the loot in an unknown direction

After the perpetrators held a gun to the arcade employee, she had the presence of mind to hand over the money they demanded. The amount of the loot is not yet known. After handing over the money, the two robbers fled in different directions. A search of the area by the police was initially unsuccessful. Fortunately, nobody was injured during the robbery.

One of the two perpetrators is said to have been wearing a black Adidas training jacket and had his face masked with a white scarf. He is also said to have been wearing a black baseball cap and dark trousers.

The second offender is said to have been wearing a dark green jacket and was also masked on his face. He is also said to have been wearing sports shoes with a light-coloured sole and blue jeans. Both casino robbers are said to have been slim and around 1.80 metres tall.

In autumn 2022, we at GambleJoe reported on two armed arcade robberies in the Stuttgart area.

Police ask for help

Anyone who can provide information about the perpetrators should contact the local police in Ahlen immediately. They can be contacted either by e-mail at poststelle.warendorf@polizei.nrw.de or by telephone on 02382 960 0.

Ahlen is a town in the Westphalian Münsterland region with just over 50,000 inhabitants. It is the economically most important town in the district of Warendorf. The mayor is Alexander Berger (non-party).

If the perpetrators are identified, they will face a severe penalty. Specifically, the two robbers would probably be sentenced to at least three years' imprisonment for aggravated robbery.
