Court order: Casino Streamer to pay 480,000 Euro fine
The local court, Amtsgericht Tiergarten has issued a court order against a famous German casino streamer. The influencer is being accused of taking part in illegal gambling and also advertising it. Now he has been ordered to pay a fine of 480,000 Euro. Why is the fine so high and for what is the penalty exactly?
In June of last year we had reported about the fact that the responsible body for online gambling at that time, the Landesverwaltungsamt Sachsen-Anhalt, had issued 25 fines for illegal gambling. In at least one of the cases the ball was set rolling. At the request of the prosecutors in Berlin, the local court, Amtsgericht Tiergarten has issued a court order against a casino streamer who is very publicly controversial.
Ron Bielecki ordered to pay a fine amounting to 480,000 Euro
The scandalous Youtuber Ron Bielecki has recently received post from the local court, the Amtsgericht Tiergarten. According to reports in the media he has been issued with a fine because according to the prosecutors he had engaged in illegal gambling on the internet and also advertised it. He has now been ordered to pay a fine of half a million Euro. At least this horrendous bill was not sent to a “low-income earner”. After all, Bielecki is well-known for his arrogance and he boasts on the internet about his high income.
This was not a secret even for the court. The fine amounts to a daily rate of 4000 Euro for 120 days. The total amount for the fine amounted to 480,000 Euro (120 x 4.000 Euro). The high daily rate is based on the information about his income which the accused himself had made public.
According to the prosecution this calculation was mainly based on the “Announcements made by the accused about his income on social media. A deduction was also made in his favour. The accused was also a market ambassador for an erotic fair in 2022.”
Besides: in this video Ron Bielecki estimated his income at 300,000 Euro per month.
The local court, the Amtsgericht Tiergarten, confirmed the fine on Tuesday but did not give the name of the influencer. According to the information given the accused engaged in 50 cases of illegal gambling during the time between October 2021 and May 2022. The accused also had 37 further cases of advertisements for illegal gambling. In July 2022 we had already reported on GambleJoe that the prosecution had started investigations against Ron Bielecki.
Casino streamer lodges an appeal against the court order
The controversial casino streamers have already lodged an appeal against the court order of the district court. Thus, the court order is not legally binding. According to the WirtschaftsWoche the accused was already issued with a court order of more than 8000 Euro for libel in another case. The accused had in this case also lodged an appeal.
Conclusion
The casino streamer and influencer Ron Bielecki has been ordered to pay a fine of nearly half a million Euro for engaging in more than 50 cases of illegal gambling. The 24-year-old has already lodged an appeal in front of the local court, the Amtsgericht Tiergarten. Thus, the court order is legally binding and we have to wait for a date for the oral hearing.
