Casinos in Las Vegas: Online Payments planned
In the future it will be easier for those who want to visit a casino in Las Vegas to gamble here without cash. How will this function? It is very easy: The players must previously register and then make use of an App to play in the land-based casino.
In the future it will be easier for gambling enthusiasts from the US Federal State of Las Vegas to play in the casino without cash. The responsible Gambling Authority gave the green light for the forward-looking project a few weeks ago. But how can the cashless transaction function in the land-based casinos?
Step by step to playing in the casino without cash
In the near future, interested players can play in the US Federal State of Nevada, at least in the large casinos, without cash. They must download an app beforehand and input their personal address and financial details. The gambling enthusiasts can then look up the respective land-based casino, log in and then play with the money which was previously added to the digital means of payment (e.g. credit card). In May of last year we reported about the fact that the casino in Sydney functions without cash.
The intention of the land-based casinos is similar to the procedure of online casinos and gambling halls. It should be very easy for the guests to top up their credit on the digital means of payment, to be able to play in the casino without cash. The suggestion was introduced by the renowned payment service provider Sightline Payments from the gambling metropole Las Vegas. In the past the company had already developed modern payment methods for the terrestrial casinos as Resorts World Las Vegas. In summer 2021 we had reported about the glamorous opening of the Resorts World Las Vegas Casinos with a large casino area of around 10,900 square metres.
Gambling Authority agrees to the proposal
The responsible gambling authority, the Nevada Gaming Commission, unanimously approved the proposed measures. Meanwhile plans have also started to change the legislation which makes it possible for identity checks for player accounts in the US Federal State of Nevada to be carried out remotely. However this does not mean that in the future the identity checks which are now carried out on-site by a casino employee will be abolished. Monitoring to check whether a guest meets the requirements to be allowed in the casino will still be carried out. Depending on the circumstances, the new cashless casino visit could be possible as early as May 2022. With its recent proposal, the US Federal State of Nevada could be a model for the whole United States, so that the system could be introduced nationwide. In January of this year we reported of an impressive “Slot machine“ in Las Vegas, which disperses real cars.
In the recent past it was already possible in Las Vegas to pay without cash. However here an extra application will be required and this has deterred many potential customers.
Conclusion
In the future it will be much easier for players in the US-Federal State of Nevada to pay in cash. However they must register their personal details and payment method beforehand. In a few months the project could be introduced extensively in the casinos in in Las Vegas. We are excited to see how the cashless casino payments will be received by the gambling enthusiasts. As for the authorities, the proposal should be well received from their side since it will offer more controllability especially when it comes to money laundering.
