Cooperations and mergers of brands or entire companies are not unusual in the iGaming industry - just like in any other business sector. Apparat Gaming has now announced that it will be working with edict egaming in the future. For the players of this world, this should above all mean more choice and variety. Apparat is continuing its long-standing expansion.

Just at the end of last year, we reported that the German game developers Apparat Gaming and Bally Wulff had entered into a partnership. This was an important step for Apparat to gain a greater foothold in the market. The brand, which was only founded in 2020, has made a lot of progress in its expansion recently (more on this in the article linked above).

The future collaboration with edict egaming could prove to be another important milestone for Apparat Gaming: This is what can be read from the information in a press release, from social media articles and from the trade press. Once again, this is a merger of German companies, as edict was founded in Hamburg and still has one of its headquarters in the Hanseatic city. Similar to Bally Wulff, edict is widely represented on the international market - not least due to its affiliation with the Merkur Group. This global presence should also have a positive effect on Apparat's titles.

What's in it for the companies in the partnership between Apparat and edict?

Apparat Gaming is likely to be the main beneficiary of the collaboration. The highlight: edict has been offering a so-called aggregator solution as a full service provider for the B2B market since 2021. This is essentially a platform for online casinos in which various game developers are integrated. The company also provides comprehensive IT and hosting services as well as account management services - from specific marketing campaigns to game strategies and networking.

edict itself says:

‘With us as your partner, you receive IT services for your online casino without having to worry about the necessary data centre, hardware or software. We take care of hosting the IT infrastructure for you. With us, you get exactly the support and connectivity that your online platform needs. You can rely on our competent team and our specialised partners for hosting and IT infrastructure. We will accompany you on your journey. The edict Group holds four different B2B licences and offers you certified content across a variety of regulated jurisdictions.’

The latter fact is one of the very important points. In fact, edict is represented with its platform in Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Spain, Croatia, Portugal, Denmark, the UK and other countries. These are some of the largest and most important gambling markets in the world, to which Apparat gains (simplified) access through the cooperation.

Apparat writes specifically about this in its press release:

‘As a result of the agreement, our ever-growing portfolio of more than 30 quality slots, including recent hits Autobahn Alarm and the highly anticipated Fishin’ the Biggest, will now be available to all operators who choose edict for their game aggregation.’

According to edict, more than 150 companies are currently using its aggregator solution. The platform's portfolio is constantly being expanded, but already offers an interesting all-round service for many casino companies. According to information from edict, the result is more than 8.5 billion game starts per year via the service.

What remains to be answered is the question of what edict will gain from the cooperation? Its portfolio will be expanded to include an up-and-coming provider, which could potentially attract new interested parties. The management team at edict is delighted about the ‘addition’ and in relevant statements refers in particular to the high quality of Apparat games. To date, Merkur Gaming, Booming Games, blueprint Gaming, Hölle Games and Bally Wulff have been among the developer partners.

This is what those responsible at Apparat and edict have to say about the partnership

Martin Frindt, co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Apparat Gaming, particularly emphasises the distinctive German characteristics of the slots:

‘Given Apparat Gaming's German roots, we are delighted to be working with a Hamburg-born business like edict. Adding our titles to their offering will give the brand's partners access to our 30+ top slots, all with a distinctive German accent - and we can't wait to hear how they are received by customers.’

Dominic-Daniel Lienard, CEO of edict, is full of praise for the quality of Apparat's slots:

‘Since launching our aggregator solution, edict has amassed an outstanding portfolio of releases from some of the top developers in Germany and beyond - and the addition of Apparat Gaming's titles will further strengthen this list. With great graphics, unique themes and innovative bonus features, we're sure their slots will be a big hit with our operators.’

Conclusion

Apparat Gaming and edict egaming will be working together in the future. This should be a promising step for the former company in particular. The still relatively young provider can once again massively increase its reach. Apparat is thus confidently continuing the expansion strategy it has been pursuing for some time. Those responsible for the brand have previously said that they wanted to take a leading position in the market. This goal has not yet been achieved, but it seems certain that much more will be done to get there. As always, we will keep you up to date.
