Hey guys, I was just having dinner when Andre wrote me that the calendar door wouldn't open...

Counter was on the road today for a change (because it was the weekend) and I had to take a look at the cronjob (our program for automatically drawing winners).
Fortunately, Counter commented everything well in the code, so I was able to find the problem pretty quickly:

For a few minutes last night, there was this error message saying that some people hadn't qualified for the lottery.
In fact, it was just a display error and the lottery worked, because the members who won yesterday's door also got this weird message. Can happen...

Yesterday evening at 6:15 pm Counter tested the raffle script and commented out 2 lines in the code because he wanted to prevent the GJ Coins from being awarded multiple times by his test.
Then it was probably a bit late and the 2 lines remained commented out unnoticed.
I simply removed a few //-comment markers in the code and started the raffle script by hand.
That's why today's door didn't open until 18:40.

But I think tomorrow evening at 6pm everything should run automatically, i.e. the 3rd door will open on time.
Please excuse the chaos, you know it's important to us that everything runs smoothly

By the way, the draw looks like this so far:
There have been 2 draws so far.
80 GJ Coin packages have been lotteried.
So far 79 community members have won.
They have received a total of 1,538 GJ Coins with a total value of €800.

Thank you also from me for the Advent calendar campaign by Gj and CB, who are participating very generously. It's not a matter of course. I'm always curious to see how long it will stay peaceful here and whether other things will soon be set off instead of the Bengalos I made a bet with someone from the forum as to which day it could get tricky. But maybe that won't happen this time. However, the first signs of displeasure have already been noted today. Albeit rather subtly.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Advent season and lots of fun with the little doors. Now I have to think of Sheldon's "fun with flags". *waves off

3 doors, three "Meister666" entries. If that's not a flawless Advent calendar hat trick. Respect😂

Thanks to GJ for the campaign... was already there on the first day.👍

So we immediately applied for the annual name change 🤣

Even if it has nothing to do with the name, a little superstition is part of the game 😁

Last year it took me until 22 or 23 so I'll stay relaxed 😁 Congratulations to everyone who has been drawn so far and, as I've already said many times here, thank you for the campaign is definitely not a matter of course and absolutely outstanding what you do for the community year after year 👍👍👍👍
