I can understand this change from the operator's point of view. However, I doubt that it is legally okay to deny the users so editing or deleting. Would advise you to clarify it rather times. Because imo it was already before the DSVGO so that you could not simply handle it as a forum operator. After the entry into force of the GDPR probably even less, right?
