Let's say an intelligent life form from a distant planet visits you and asks you about humanity's great achievements and how they contribute to a positive symbiosis.
Honestly ? I would not know a single one. Everything we explore and discover is only used again in the end to make profit. It either ruins mankind or nature. Or both.
Even if this "extraterrestrial" brings a capsule and says: Here in it is your genetic code, decoded to 100%, with it you can heal now all diseases. What would happen ? As soon as the visitor is gone again, you sit down at a table and ask yourself: So, how can we make money with this now?
Times an opposite theory:
What if the aliens have sat down at a table and thought about how they can make profit? - By possibly faking a drug that could be used to wipe out all humanity on the planet and claim all the resources of the earth for themselves.
I can understand the core of your statement that humanity is far too greedy. But should there be still other life forms in the universe (which I now simply times firmly maintain).
How does it come to the assumption that the extraterrestrials could not be similarly knitted?
Even in the animal world it does not look differently, every single day is a fight for survival. Eat or be eaten, and there there is also no mercy with "weaker" animals.
Greed is widespread, worldwide, global.
I get around a lot, come into contact with many different people, have noticed with people who do not have much you get more than with rich people.
I mean, I am a craftsman with poorer people you get more often a breakfast or something to drink than with richer people, although there are exceptions.

I don't know any except that I would curse the one who does this to us with a grin. Life is a game anyway, in the end we all lose. When you die, it's all over, it doesn't matter if you're black, white, rich or poor. You will have nothing more of it or know. What I generally more and more ankotzt is this superficiality of the people of this box think. That's why I hate many people and despise you, because for me all people are equal

True enough.
Would just like to add that the rich guy can spend his precious lifetime doing things he really wants to do.
Travel, nice cars, promote projects close to one's heart,... no desire is left unfulfilled....
While the "poor", average employee acts as a plaything of the economy, and shimmies from job to job to make ends meet.
His precious life time goes to flush even more money into the coffers of the greedy company. He hardly has anything for himself - not even the most important thing, time.
It is a bitter fact that most of the wealthy today are not so much self-made men, but rather heirs or profiteers of a system, in which the non-wealthy must inevitably pay on top, so that the other can accumulate significant capital, which he does not need at all in this dimension. Actually insanity.

I would show him that I have a small device in my pocket, which can retrieve the collected knowledge of mankind and I use it to watch funny videos and pictures
