Today we're having chicken (nasty bits) from the oven. It comes with potatoes, olive oil and lemon. Served with a fresh lettuce salad. So if the nasty bits go to waste, there are still plenty of side dishes.
I may be away, but I'm not here.
I'm now spending a few weeks in Andalusia.
I love the cuisine in the local restaurants.
But the selection of fresh fish at Mercadona
Is always fascinating. Nice bacalao,
Tuna, octopus...beautifully fried with lots of garlic, olive oil and a certain spiciness, served with Mediterranean vegetables.
You can get a 2-liter container of olive oil here for under €10.
The large baguette for 1€ at the bakery,
most products are more than 30% cheaper than in Germany.
And the Spaniards are simply relaxed.
I will live here one day.
