Right to the Falckensteiner Strand and the Baltic Sea, are only about 20 minutes from me. There is even an express bus from the main station Kiel there and back almost hourly^^

Well dear ones, how do you deal with the temperatures ?
Self-built air conditioning ?
Feet in ice cold water ?
The day's events shifted to the night ?
Since I have the "pleasure" of having an attic apartment, you can certainly imagine what the temperatures
Tonight it is then again - Tear open everything windows what goes 🙏
Ooh härm.. Yes I feel with you 🙏
I have also always lived in ner attic apartment! If you're lucky enough to find an apartment these days then of course 98% of them are attic apartments 🤔😅
If you have not yet tried the one or the other abcoolungtrick:
Hang a damp bed sheet or towel with a high cotton content in the windows or over a chair. As it dries, it creates evaporative cooling, which cools the room.
If you've ever stood next to a fountain on a hot summer day, you know the effect.
But if you place the fan in front of a bucket of cold water or ice cubes, it becomes an improvised air conditioner. Now it distributes the evaporative cooling in the room. Alternatively, place the fan in front of drying laundry or damp sheets (see above)
fills a hot water bottle with ice-cold water and clamps it between the thighs while falling asleep. The main arteries on the thighs distribute the cold in the body.
I have now actually bought a paddling pool for adults at obi 🤪
With extra cushion and headrest. I will probably work the rest of the summer from there or register my second residence there... Let's see 😅

Watch out though. Water and electricity don't mix. Other than that it sounds like a great plan.

I used to live in a top floor apartment too! If you are lucky enough to find an apartment these days then 98% of them are attic apartments of course 🤔😅

Oh man you have it good.
Was no longer at the Baltic Sea for years.
But since Poel Island and Zingst
Was the schööööööööööön 💖
Believe the last time as a child in the summer vacations. 🙈
Aaaah... That must be where the name "Bodensee" comes from?!?! 🧐
Maybe only accessible underground at the moment ?!
So from the lake to the source ?!💡☝️😎
But all joking aside...
Even with us here from the flood area, you would think that we would have enough water stored in the ground for the next few years...
But because of!
Now one reads regionally even from water scarcity ... or even Germany-wide?
And we live actually only 2 std from the Dutch Sea away 🥵
Achsooo, what I still wanted to ask ...
How was that again with the 9€ ticket and Sylt?
Someone times, the theory put into practice and can report a super savings vacation? 🤞🤑
I bought last week ne stone bird watering hole, so that the birds can cool off in the heat something in the garden and in addition a Meisknödelhalter with tit dumplings. This is now really well accepted, but find the birds eat these dumplings away too quickly. A dumpling is in only 2 days completely eaten away. Temperature with me now in the shade 34 degrees. Tomorrow should come here the high point with 39 degrees
In my case, the birds also eat the tit dumplings at record speed. What falls down, but conveniently benefits the birds, who generally prefer to pick up food from the ground. And the hedgehogs even eat the stuff. I have distributed water bowls everywhere for the animals and built small bridges and landing pads for the insect water bowls out of stones, wood and leaves so that they don't drown
