Yes they have, but they have a very materialistic attitude and not a very high opinion of me (I don't care, as long as they don't treat my daughter disparagingly), anyway I got in once so that it was enough for a kitchen that doesn't come from the cheap hardware store.
Give the parents for Christmas Fight Club and watch it together

oh and then you feel almost --> compelled <-- to have to confirm their materialistic attitude?
In my family, we traditionally agree that no one gives each other anything, and then in the end the "children" get any gifts. I don't give anything to my siblings or parents. My friends would probably look at me funny if they got Christmas presents from me. My girlfriend I give a material gift worth about 60€, also she gets a piano piece on mp3
I hardly see any sense in holidays and customs like birthdays and accordingly hardly celebrate them. I do visit my parents and grandparents for dinner and say thank you nicely when I get the usual Amazon gift certificate or envelope with cash in my hand, but I never feel particularly Christmassy about it. It's not my world, but of course I don't want to judge anyone who can celebrate such festivities. I simply lack the occasion
I and my 2 wives also give us nothing, but the Christmas days is feasted of the finest and if we gain 3 kilos we always do so, I have to work over the holidays but to eat I always take time.
Since I have no desire to the future in-laws of my daughter I disappear to my second home in the Bavarian Forest, there I make me with a buddy who is also alone a huge roast and if it is too boring and we have a desire for wine, women and song we are in a few minutes in the Czech Hintergrenzland.

Now that's a man style celebration! 😂👌
I wish you much pleasure
Christmas is becoming increasingly stupid......
With us (family) there is always a certain pressure to outdo the other with the gifts, since the "fear" is also great e.g. the friend of the sister nothing to give because he has vllt what for one and so on....
I would like to prepare this year only my girlfriend and my mom a small joy and enjoy some togetherness, exactly that came the last few years actually much too short.

I regret material gifts every time. Attracts strife in a magical way.
