I've been wanting to take a city trip to Vienna for a while.
Watched "Taff" on Pro7 yesterday, "Vienna (again) voted the most unfriendly city in the world".
i would like to live there
just that the city hasn't sold off all the apartments and can continue to offer the cheapest rents in the best residential areas
and then voted the most unfriendly city by the taff reporter the "ugly greedy german"
and the dialect "wiener schmäh" is simply brilliant
How about Galway in Ireland? It's said to be the friendliest city in the world. The humor and hospitality of the Irish are legendary, as you hear again and again. Okay, it's a bit further away than Vienna, but you could hang out in cool pubs and experience quirky things.
Incidentally, I only had bad experiences in Vienna. Everyone was in a bad mood. From the hotel owner to the cab driver to some old granny who barked at me when I was paying in a cozy coffee house that she didn't have any change today. I'll never forget that. But the coffee was excellent.

Ok, canceled 😂
You're missing out on something. The architecture alone is worth a visit.
Unfriendly is probably also rather subjective and depends on what you mean by it. If friendliness means constantly grinning stupidly or smiling hypocritically, then Vienna is certainly not the right place. It always gets on my nerves on many a vacation when the waiter or other people keep asking me "How are you? How are you doing my friend?". It always irritates me because it's all too personal and I first had to learn that it's just a saying. If you like that sort of thing, you should avoid Vienna. If you just want peace and quiet, you can feel at home in Vienna.
Especially if you come from Germany, you certainly won't notice any difference.

What's stopping you? With the quote: "ugly greedy Germans" life is so shitty. I don't understand why so many people still live or want to live in the land of the "ugly greedy Germans" anyway
