I liked it too, but it's also very depressing in places. The real Klaus Barkowsky took his own life shortly after the series came out.
I can well imagine that it was perhaps too much for him. So maybe he only came to terms with his work now in old age and realized that maybe it wasn't all that cool after all.
If you listen to other neighborhood greats from back then, they didn't understand a thing. Some of them said that the series portrayed it all far too harmlessly and that the real guys were much tougher. It was almost as if they were ashamed that they still came across as halfway humane in the series. ^^

The alternative was the movie "SISU", the trailer looked very nice, a kind of Finnish John Wick.
If the home government plays along today, I'll treat myself to it today!
Excuse me? Is the John Wick series also available in a bad version?
Sisu is one of the movies I've abandoned (that's relatively rare and means something...) - I regret the investment of my lifetime for it...:-/

Liked this post: garfield68, Saphira
The second is also available on Netflix.
However, just my opinion, I found the second season very weak. The first, on the other hand, was really good.
I'm currently watching "Kingdom".
A zombie series set in medieval South Korea.
I don't normally like Korean shows, but this one is really well made.

Reacher season 2 is out but I liked the first one better.
Monarch season 1 is also quite good.

Unfortunately, there probably won't be a 3rd season because Netflix has canceled it.

And the first mini series that I was able to win for myself there.
I'm not really a person who can show my feelings openly and easily, but I just couldn't stop a tear or two and I couldn't stop the goosebumps.
This is "Dear Child".
