sponsoring: (10s is ok, it's voluntary, so you can also participate without sponsoring, please contact us via pn for more details)

the participants:
write here if you want to participate. this time i will wait until more than 10 people have registered here to make some kind of selection.
if you want to be captain, just write it in the post (or pn) and you can choose your crew together with me (not a must, but a possibility)

this kind of game is about tactics, strategy, making decisions together with the team and of course a lot of fun around it

so please only people who really want to participate actively should sign up.
of course no one has to be present every day via pn and be fully involved. your other obligations take precedence, but a little factual meaningful participation and joy in the above-mentioned points is desirable and yes also sense of the game, otherwise the person would not need to register

why am i writing this?

  • in general i think it's unfair when 2 of a crew of 5 get involved and the rest just wait for the 10 but the opponent has 5 active people)

  • you can also play this game with 2x4 or 2x3 people. with 2x5 it's just really fun --> i think that almost all participants will confirm this

  • so it's only fair to everyone if the captains give me a report from their logbook at the end of the game --> what went well, who was good, who was just absent (as i said, important things can come up, you can tell the captain without any disadvantage) or who is colluding with the opposing team and deliberately manipulating.

  • i then discuss with the captains and it can be that someone from the winning team gets 20.-, the other nothing.

  • since this kind of game is mainly about the points marked above, the prize money is also rather secondary.

  • should not be now so that jmd pretends and on devil come out every 5 min nen gag posts (write in the thread is not mandatory). a reasonable pn participation with good thoughts why one would put this or that is enough

and now please hire many new as well as some already existing (those who haven't got a number phobia yet ) sailors on deck

here again the familiar introductory text:
We are playing a very simple game. I'll still explain it clearly so there's no misunderstanding.

Each team receives 100 chips from me and two jokers, each worth 10 chips.
We play 5 rounds. The team that wins 3 rounds first is the winning team
Each round you have to bet a number of chips chosen by you. If you bet more chips than your opposing team, you win the round. The number of chips you bet will then be deducted from your 100 chips and will no longer be available to you.

Example:
Team 1 bets 15 chips in the first round, Team 2 bets 25. Team 2 wins the round, then has 75 chips left and leads 1-0. Team 1 has 85 chips available for the remaining 4 rounds. Your betting of chips is done via communicator to me only. Please remember: the first answer counts. You can't change your chip count after that, as soon as you have told me your chip count. But in this thread you can discuss, unsettle your opponent and so on.

The special thing:
After each round I will tell you the remaining chip total of the opponent here in the thread. You will not know who won the round.
Let's take the example again. So after the first round I would post here in the thread that team 1 has 85 chips left and team 2 has 75 chips left.

The Jokers:
Each team has 2 jokers. They have a value of 10 chips each. They can be set optionally in 2 different rounds but also in the same round (so 2 jokers in the same round). The special thing: I will never inform about bet jokers. The intermediate score I publish here is always only about the actual chip score

If there is an unexpected tie in a round, I will inform about it here in the thread. Both teams will then have to change their minds again until there is no longer a tie

Please do not collude between teams and do not play to a tie. Otherwise the prize money will go to a new competition with new participants. The point is to win as a team

It would be nice, if you first here in the thread a TeamCaptain determines. I would then accept the betting of the chips in the communicator from this team captain every round. Talk to each other, tactics and so on...

It will be played in 24 hours rhythm, 20 o'clock deadline has proven itself.

I would be there this time and will lead my team to victory. Whether as captain or as a simple helmsman. 😎

Okay, let's see how it ends today, if I lose, I'm sure no one will want me on the team
Would Xavi then stand aside as first officer...

The last battle was unfortunately lost, so I would like to sign on a new ship. Which captain sees himself in the condition to sail us through the stormy sea?

Do you have a good grip on the rudder and can you see over several meters when you are hanging from the mast? Then I would be happy to take you on

Do you have a firm grip on the rudder and can see over several meters if you ever hang from the mast? If so, I'm more than willing to take you up on it

And me? Would you be worried that I would start a mutiny?

What about me? Would you be worried that I would start a mutiny?

You're already scheduled. I've made room for you in the galley. But please bring the potato peeler yourself when you start work. 😜

I just thought up a new strategy for the next round. Maybe as a captain again? Makes addicted. The problem, have next week late duty, If we have few missions, I can stay at the PC....otherwise it may be that I have to dive longer time....

Sounds good to me. No lack of loyalty either
