I don't have any ideas this year, what do you give your loved ones and how much do you spend on them?

I have a girlfriend, 2 children with a spouse and at the moment 4 grandchildren, so nothing under 1000€ is possible.

I thus spend exactly the mean value of the second answer option, namely around 150 euros.

I don't spend anything, we've gotten out of the habit of giving presents.

I have a wife and four children,

It won't be cheap....

No fun, the main thing is that they are happy, I don't care about the rest!

Like every year, I make olive oil. I started making my own infusions 8 years ago. I then gave the bottles to family and friends as gifts which was well received and now there is just the year. there are 18 bottles this year. Of these, 12 are for 'regular customers' and the others are for colleagues and friends. There's a Watts app group among the regular customers where people can guess or suggest their own combinations. But I don't do this as an order and never do exactly the same thing. I know who has which preferences and take that into account. The cost per bottle is between €18 and €25. . Depending on what's in it. I use 20 liters of oil every year. This year I have not spilled much because I have never had more than 16 bottles.

Plus a few presents for the 3 little ones in the family, so I spend a total of €400 on presents.

Oh, I became a great-grandchild this year. That makes 3.5 little relatives .lol

Why are multiple answers possible...?
I won't get there with 300 either... Girlfriend, parents and partner, sister and husband, niece, nephew...

Whereby I actually think a bit like upola, the whole gifting thing is just stressful, you constantly have to suck any wishes out of your finger that you would never have had otherwise and think about what people who have everything could still need... In order to end up with goods of roughly the same value... 😂

With us, only the children get something. The average is around 100 and I think that's quite enough

We don't give presents, but we do eat something delicious on the 2 days of Christmas.

That's right, you don't eat anything special, apart from leg of lamb, duck, goose etc.

Then finally make something sensible like potato salad and sausages!
