my vr bank account, which is more than 20 years old, was terminated today by normal letter without notice for cause, effective 05/15.
the reason given was that i use the account "very intensively" for transfers with unauthorized gambling providers. they were therefore forced to terminate the account immediately in accordance with the terms and conditions nr 19 abs 3.
the agbs only say something about deterioration of assets, untruthfulness or failure to cooperate. none of these points therefore make sense just because i have used the account to make deposits and withdrawals at casinos.
i was summoned to the bank a few years ago and explained that it was about sports betting. after that it was quiet. now suddenly the notice came because I had a few wins in april (smaller 4-digit).
what bothers me is the following: it is without notice. now i have only a few days to open a new account and settle all sorts of things. are they allowed to do that just like that? wouldn't it have been enough to give me some time? and do i now get a schufa entry because of the termination for "good cause"?
i have just applied online for an account with ing. i hope it works out and is opened quickly. after that, i will never make a direct Deposit anywhere with my checking account again.

Yes, they may; current accounts can be terminated by either party at any time - even without giving reasons.
then it is an extraordinary termination. everything i found from other users had a longer period of notice...weeks or even months.
is there a schufa entry for this?

There is no obligation to report
It is up to the bank whether they report this to Schufa or not. Regardless of whether there is a Schufa entry or not, this cancellation has an impact on your scoring.
Despite the termination, you could ask whether the VR Bank reports this to Schufa
ok, i will see that in the next few days in my schufa report. the question is, can i take action against it, should there be an entry or the like. after all, i have not been guilty of anything and have always dutifully paid everything on time.
i also think that the bank is at least as involved here...after all, they have known about it for at least 10 years and have always tolerated it and made all the payments that were now suddenly illegal or inadmissible. it would also be a perfect target for people who want to make a chargeback...since the bank itself has said that these transactions were inadmissible, you could ask them to charge everything back.
Ging us also so incl Deposit and savings VR Bank is there right behind... Sparkasse should be the best according to my gambling addicted bank consultant😁 Ing Diba I recommend you ...

You can of course go against an unjustified entry and demand a deletion this happens in the case of simply false entries even immediately the question is then rather works without a lawyer because the opinions whether it is justified or not can go apart yes
