Maybe Novomatic just wanted to test if the masses after a year of abstinence would pounce on the old Gammelslots again like flies on a huge turd. Seems to have worked
I used to play Novomatic and Merkur a lot too. There wasn't anything else back then either. To me, gambling Novoline & Merkur is about as interesting as toenail clipping, but the latter is cheaper.
I personally wouldn't call myself a gambling addict, at least not for a few years now. I still gamble regularly, but for a long time I never gamble over my monthly budget
However, I would still call gaming an expensive hobby and I want to get something for it: Fancy game concept, good graphics & sound effects, high winning potential, good technical implementation, creativity and a payout ratio of 95% upwards. Apart from a relatively high winning potential, Novomatic and Merkur have nothing to offer and lag miles behind other game manufacturers like Thunderkick, Play & Go, Big Time Gaming or NetEnt.
Also in terms of winning potential, Novoline & Merkur Slots have long been overtaken by the other manufacturers. I don't want to attack anyone but I don't understand how someone can go for such boring slots. It's certainly a matter of taste and I don't begrudge anyone his slots but I personally don't care if they are online again or not. I see it like this, if I plan a budget of XXX Euro per month for gambling and spend it on Novomatic and Merkur, then it's a bit like leasing an old, rusty VW Golf, although I could have a Porsche for the same money.

I hope that was a joke . Playing Novomatic games for points is a bit like paying X amount to look at and touch the aforementioned rusty Golf, but not being allowed to drive it, even though I could lease a Porsche for the same money. Other games can be played completely free of charge and without registration but for Novomatic's Gammelslots you have to pay money for the fun mode and some people apparently still do that. I can't understand that, hmm ...
Well, I have never paid money for the fun mode. And I wouldn't - it's really a waste of money. I still like to play the slots and have reached level 200 at StarGames this week. There are some slots I would like to play with real money, like Garden of Riches, Blazing Jolly or Lady Jester. At least I know that these slots always give something in the FS, especially the last two. And the ones from Thunderkick, Play 'n Go, Big Time Gaming or NetEnt are MILLIONS of miles away from that. But so what. As often as you go out there with less than 10 euros. Ridiculous. Book of Ra and other older Novo slots I would not want to play anymore. Too worn out or made to "new". I don't find them that good anymore. Of the older ones, only Hoffmeister and Rumpel Wild Spins would appeal to me, among others, although nothing has changed with Rumpel as far as the eating is concerned and the often bad FS
Still, if Novo comes back, I'm armed

clearly this is not the same but it was about the sound and graphics times to hear from time to time without that you have to go into a Spielo ...
