Why a credit card instead of a bank account?

I have often read here that you should have the money transferred to a credit card for large amounts, then withdraw it and gradually Deposit it in cash into a normal account.
But I wonder, don't all the providers also check? Why shouldn't they ask where the money comes from when I get a MasterCard from Extra, TF Bank etc.?
