I have the virtual and physical credit card. It works with my physical card without any problems, but I have not yet tested it with the virtual card. So I can't give you an experience report. Have you tried it at another ATM? And are you sure that the ATM you used also supports NFC? You can tell which ATMs you can withdraw cash from with your smartphone by the wave symbol, which is also shown on debit or credit cards.
