Greetings to the world of cultivated gambling entertainment. First of all, I have to mention that I'm an absolutely infrequent gambler and have only ever been active at Admiral. Today, however, I ended up in the Merkur arcade rather unplanned - I went to the terminal to unlock and play a machine, but this was only possible with a customer card. I then asked the arcade supervisor how I could get the customer card. All I had to do was show my ID and I was then given the customer card/gaming card, which I could then use to play. The arcade supervisor also told me that I should put the customer card in the large container with a slot at the entrance when I had finished playing and left the arcade.
Now the faux pas on my part: I accidentally left the customer card on the side table of the Slot machine and am now worried that it will fall into the "wrong" hands. The arcade was completely overcrowded, so the customer card is accessible to everyone. What exactly is the card good for? Can they access my personal data? What could they do with the card that was issued in my name?
If I have ended up in the wrong thread, please move it to the correct section. Thank you very much!
Nothing happens there.
What is anyone else supposed to do with it?
The card only serves as a kind of key to unlock a machine at the terminal.
They only need your ID to check that you are not listed in the Oasis blocking file.
As far as I know, no personal data is stored on the playing card.
Here in my Merkur, people often leave their cards lying around and they are then simply collected by the service staff during a tour.
What exactly is the card good for? Does the person have access to my personal data? What could they do with the card that was issued to me?
Oh oh oh. If this card falls into the wrong hands... maybe Grandma Lieschen, who was sitting next to you, has already used your details to open bank accounts in the Seychelles, sell one of your kidneys or mortgage your house to finally get free spins at wild Bronco. Never heard of the Merkur free spins mafia?

That was a legitimate and interesting question. People who never or only very rarely visit a casino don't necessarily know about such practical applications that are part of other gamblers' daily business. I wouldn't have known either.

the card is only used to prevent multiple devices from being played at the same time as it is prohibited by law...at some terminals you can also present your ID card in addition to this card to unlock another machine 🤓 this is of course not allowed but is often overlooked on days when the place is not completely full 😁 I have also unintentionally taken several home without being prosecuted 😀

Multiple play is not prohibited, but spending two means of identification is. So if you are playing and your neighbor goes home and does not log out, you can legally continue to play on the device. However, if you are given two codes / cards or whatever to unlock two or more machines, this is illegal.
But since nobody understands this, many operators handle it in such a way that they only allow one machine to be played. In addition, in many cases it is also due to the fact that in the past there were multiple concessions and today these are only single gaming halls and if everyone were to play several machines, the machines would all be occupied in no time and many players would not be able to play and would possibly look for another gaming hall in the long term.
BTT: No data is stored on the card from the Merkur network, i.e. nothing happens there.
