Hello dear GJ community,
Why are there all these stupid rules in Germany online but not in any kebab shop or arcade? Except for the break after 60 minutes. And these maximum bookings per hour. (They should do the same online instead of all the other crap)
Can someone explain this to me? I can press stop whenever I want I can play over 1 euro. If they have the 5 second rule in the Online Casinos that are regulated in Germany, why not at the machines everywhere? Of course, nobody plays there like they do online. But I would be interested to know why it makes such a difference to the authorities.

Hello,
as far as I've heard, the offline arcades should benefit from this. They already have a much lower RTP anyway, and the state is already making good money out of them.

Because offline your money is first converted into points through a game that complies with the state treaty (0.20 cents every 5 seconds and no guaranteed 1:1 playout of this game, so sometimes you get +/- 0.10 € booked) and the actual reel game is only entertainment in the sense of the legislation and therefore the rules do not apply because the regulated game takes place in the lower booking process

Theoretically, you can play over €1 on the machine, but this is a "virtual currency" (technical jargon "points"). According to the law, you do not play €2 per spin, but 200 points. The conversion from euros to points takes place in 5-second intervals and as described by Gamble1.

So it's all ok for the state.
