First of all, it's outrageous that the bank can't/won't help you. Who gave you this info? Someone from customer service? Have the team leader explain the incident. With credit card bookings, you can have it reversed if you can show that it was booked unjustifiably. This takes no longer than 20 seconds with a reasonable provider.
