Mr Green: MrGreen suddenly wants to close account due to "restructuring measures

I have been with Mr Green since the beginning of May, so far all deposits and withdrawals as well as the Verification process have worked flawlessly and I am very satisfied. I do not play much, only from time to time. Deposits usually vary between 10 and 20 euros. Stakes are low. I have never violated any terms and conditions. Haven't played for a few weeks now though because I was on vacation.

Yesterday (08/27/2019 evening) I suddenly got an email telling me that my account is to be closed. The exact wording was:

" Regrettably, Mr Green will have to close your player account, due to restructuring measures within the company. Participation in Mr Green's offer is not possible until further notice. Of course, you still have the opportunity to withdraw your funds from your player account until August 30th. For withdrawals after August 30, please contact Mr Green's customer service. "

My email to Mr.Green went unanswered, but admittedly just 26 hours have passed. Nevertheless, I would like to have the matter clarified, because time is running out and I don't know if I will still be able to log in after 08/30, if I will be able to create a new account or if I will be locked out forever? On what basis (the T&Cs?) will my account be closed? I asked my friends who are also with Mr Green (some have been there longer, some just a few weeks) and none of them got such an email, only me. But I have never violated any T&Cs, the Live Chat today also confirmed this to me. But it seems that it is really about "restructuring measures". But what they mean, what consequences they have, whether the account is closed forever, whether you can still log in or re-register, etc.... all these questions could not answer the customer support from the live chat unfortunately also.

Excerpts from the chat transcript (answers from Customer Support):

" There's fundamental restructuring going on at our company, which doesn't just affect your account personally."
" However, our team leader is still working on your request."
" Unfortunately, we have not yet received any further information."
" Unfortunately can't give a timeframe yet, as we don't have any more detailed information ourselves."
" I do not know myself yet why and why, would like to give you more information"
"As mentioned before, I haven't received any information on why and why yet, just the same as you, restructuring measures from the company."
" Don't personally think it's okay either. Since the customers write to us, like you. And we can unfortunately not give more information ourselves "
" Is probably a management or corporate decision."
" Am already curious myself why and why"

I've already withdrawn my balance, but I'm still a bit shocked that of all the Online Casinos I've registered with, the reliable Mr Green of all (good reputation, fast payouts, fast verification) is closing player accounts for no reason and seemingly totally at random. Instead of "restructuring measures" you might as well write: "for reasons we won't tell you"......

I would be happy to get a statement from the management level, since all the other "lower down" levels seem to really have no clue.

Who knows what's going on, maybe Germany will put pressure and Online Casinos will soon be a thing of the past in Germany until regulation.

Have you contacted your VIP manager in the meantime? The messages all seem to have gone out on 8/28. But you are now the only one I know that this has happened too. Is this really random?

Update: Mr Green CLOSES ACCOUNTS FROM PLAYERS WHO WON TOO MUCH!!!!

I received a (meaningless!) reply from Customer Support:

I am very sorry that you are affected by our restructuring measures.
I understand if this news came suddenly and therefore you are unhappy.

Unfortunately, there is no further information at this time other than that it is a restructuring of the company. Accordingly, your account will be closed soon. You have not made any mistakes and if you still have money in your player account, you can of course withdraw it. We recommend that you do so by August 30.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to give you information about other players' accounts. I understand your confusion and ask for your understanding.

Thank you for spending time with us and we wish you all the best.

Especially the last sentence sounds like a final goodbye, meaning that I will never be able to register with MrGreen again.

I have now gradually heard from friends and acquaintances that some of them are also affected. They didn't get an email, but when they logged in they got a message that the account will be closed and they should withdraw their balance by 30.08

After an exhausting day of investigation, we have found that all those whose accounts are to be closed have simply won too much!!!

yes, mr green closes accounts of players who won too much!!!

Because all of us who are affected have compared our Deposit and withdrawal history, and if you add it all up and end up with a plus (meaning more paid out/won than deposited), then you are affected!!!

All friends who are not affected have a minus (i.e. more deposited than paid out/won).

The restructuring measures are most likely an attempt to kick out players with extra luck or skill in order to generate more wins for the company.

This is a cheek!!!
I wonder if anything can be done about this.....
Would this be a case for the MGA?
Are any of you still affected and can somehow confirm this thesis?
Among my friends and acquaintances it is definitely so, and 100%!

Well, house law is still a matter for the landlord. If you want to go to a pub, but the host does not value your presence, that is also the case

I dare to doubt that you all belong to a handpicked fortune cookie circle with a special "skill for slots". But at least it made me smile.

Would be a good thing if the TE now also tells us his strategy as it succeeds in the casino what one often visits a plus to earn? Then we can all suck the casinos little by little

anything is possible, especially since (I do not know if the rumors are true) mr. green yes

has apparently just been sold. i have deposited with Mr. Green once and have
never cashed out...my account has not been closed
which would rather confirm your theory. if this would really be the case that
mr.green closes the accounts of players who are clearly in the plus, then
that would be quite brazen and certainly a case for the mga.
if they can or want to do something against it is a good question but
for that you would have to prove it statistically...your 3 buddies are not enough for that
are not enough.
i personally do not care if they close my account
mr Green has always been a junk casino in my eyes

Well, with Table games you can maybe talk about skill, but with slots, which work with random generators....
Admittedly most are rather in the red, only a few are in the plus, myself included, and we're all getting kicked out now.
As I said, I don't play much and I'm not addicted. I quit when I win something and cash it out. I just got lucky with a Jackpot

On the one hand, Mr Green is not the only site in the www that offers online gambling and on the other hand, they are not really so strong in anything that you would miss them. So it's quite a lot of excitement about nothing

Of course you feel stupid when the bouncer tells you again that the event is closed today. But then you just go to Blockbuster and get a cool VHS and watch film at home
