Rien ne va plus
The announcement "Rien ne va plus" is made by the Croupier in roulette. With this statement, the croupier informs the players at the table that no more bets can be placed. The French announcement "Rien ne va plus" means in German as much as "Nothing goes more".
When does the croupier say "Rien ne va plus"?
First of all, players in Roulette have the opportunity to place their bets. At this point, the roulette wheel is not yet in motion. After a short time, the croupier then sets the roulette wheel in motion and throws the ball into the cylinder, usually against the direction of rotation. Even now, the players at the table can still place further bets. Just a few seconds later, however, the announcement "Rien ne va plus" will follow. From this point on, there is no possibility to place any more bets. Those players who still make a Bet will be excluded from the game and informed that their bet is invalid. In English, the announcement "No more bets" is also common.
