French roulette
Roulette is a traditional game of chance that is spread all over the world. Meanwhile, there are several variants of the game. The best known variant is the French roulette. Here, the Roulette wheel consists of a total of 37 fields. In addition to 18 red and 18 black numbers, there is only one green zero. In the American version, for example, there is a Double Zero instead.
French roulette works exactly like European roulette. The only difference is that in French roulette the betting fields are labeled in French. In European roulette, the betting fields are often labeled in English or German instead. Usually, in French roulette, several players sit at one table. At the front of the table is the roulette wheel.
This is how a round of French Roulette is played
At the beginning of each game round, the Croupier asks to place the bets by saying "Faites vos jeux". As the game progresses, the croupier then sets the kettle in motion and throws the ball in against the direction of rotation. Until the croupier says "Rien ne va plus" (= Nothing works anymore), the players can place their bets. In the meantime, however, the instructions are also given in German or at least in English, even in French roulette. This applies to both stationary casinos and online casinos.
The Bank advantage in French roulette is usually 2.70%. This is due to the fact that here - unlike in American Roulette - there is only one zero. This has the consequence that all bets made are retained by the casino.
Possible bets in French Roulette
In French roulette, for example, players can Bet on whether the color of the number will be black or red and whether it will be even or odd. Furthermore, bets can be placed on low (1-18) or high (19-36). Likewise, bets can be placed on a Dozen, on columns and on streets. Of course, bets can also be placed on single numbers. In French roulette, by the way, the value of the chips is printed on them.
