Apple Pay
Apple Pay is a payment system of the American technology company Apple. This payment system was introduced in the United States in 2014 for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. In Germany, however, Apple Pay has only been available as a payment option since December 2018. To be able to use Apple Pay as a payment option, an iOS device, for example an iPhone or an iPad, is required.
How do payments work with Apple Pay?
The modern payment system works with the help of so-called Near Field Communication, or NFC for short, in conjunction with a Wallet. The customer holds their Apple device up to the respective payment terminal and uses it to make the payment. The customer has stored a credit card on the Apple device, for example, which is then used to process the payments. The charming thing about this is that Apple Pay does not send the credit card data stored in the wallet to the merchant at any time. In the meantime, Apple Pay cooperates with numerous well-known banks, so that a majority of customers can already use this modern payment option.
Apple Pay in online casinos
Of course, Apple Pay can also be used for convenient payment processing on the Internet. So with just a few clicks, Apple customers can easily process payments in online stores and even in some online casinos. The confirmation of the payment can be done with the own fingerprint (Touch ID), for example. Unfortunately, there are currently only very few online casinos that accept payments via Apple Pay, at least in the German-speaking area.
However, it should be noted at this point that Apple Pay is only available as a Deposit method in online casinos. Withdrawals cannot be made in this way. However, the use of Apple Pay in online stores and online casinos is usually free of charge for the user.
